About Judith
Judith is a life-long resident of DuPage County and a registered nurse, earning her nursing degree from the College of DuPage and a BSN from Purdue Calumet University. Her medical background gives her a solid foundation in evidence-based problem solving, data analysis, critical thinking and experience working with law enforcement officials on investigations.
As coroner, Judith will prioritize combating the increasing deaths from suicide and substance use disorders. She will ensure the accurate publication of related death statistics. Proactively, she will work with middle school and high school students on mental health and coping skills.
Her 8 years as a home health nurse gave her intimate insights into the community and their needs. She builds quick relationships with families in good times and times of grief.

She has been a union member for close to 30 years - first with the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) and then with National Nurses United (NNU) and American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). With NNU she advocated for healthcare issues, speaking with members of Congress locally and in Washington D.C.

As a nurse, she never asked a patient who they voted for, but instead gave everyone the same quality, skilled, compassionate care. As coroner, she vows to do the same.
